They charged me £250 for an repair to an unspecified problem with a Macbook Pro motherboard, causing it to overheat and crash. A week later, it was returned and crashed the next day. As the website said "No fix, no fee", I requested a refund. They took the machine away again, and told me that there was liquid in the keyboard, and it would cost another £100. I didn't want to throw good money after bad, so declined. It took 6 phone calls and 4 emails to be be told that they wouldn't refund, because it was "a new problem" (it wasn't; no liquid had been near it in the time it took me to switch it on after the 'repair' and it crashing).

I had an emergency while away from home, so I contacted Alex PC Repair to help me out. As I needed my laptop to do my work, I paid 50 pounds extra to have it repaired urgently. Unfortunately, it didn't come back quite as quickly and I lost another day's work and disgruntled clients. I basically needed Windows reinstalled, which is not exactly a big job, but they charged 250 pounds with the rush fee. My laptop now works but it won't install Windows updates - the laptop tries to install them automatically at times but fails, meaning I lose anything up to an hour while it tries to update. Getting a proper invoice out of these guys is also a drawn-out process. I had to ask five or six times before it was actually produced and then it was a slap-dash affair. I wouldn't recommend Alex PC Repair.

3 weeks later, the laptop is still failing to update and I have had another company reinstall the system again, although they are charging much less at 40 euros. I might as well have bought a new laptop.

High price, no value. At first they asked for 120£ for resetting the bios, which is a lot. Then I had to call them back because the PC was still not working. They took it again for another week and didn't even figure out what the problem actually was. Then they asked for 45£ for troubleshooting (without a clear solution given) Before my PC was crashing every time I tried to do anything. Now it won't even turn on. They just made the problem worse. Now I'll have to look for another shop that will actually fix my with even less of a budget to work with.

Returned the Mac the following week having reinstalled the OS.

Phoned to fix my laptop with a hard drive issue and laptop returned to me and a month and a half later I have an issue with the hard drive that was replaced. Phoned up and was told will come collect my laptop and 8 days later and 2 calls and 1 message later left on voicemail and still no reply. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
