Ampthill Fireplaces were great from start to finish. From looking around the showroom and the advice given, I was unaware of the difference in styles, suitability for different spaces etc. The home visit was easily organised and James was knowledgeable and helpful and helped us make the best decision. Arranging the installation (done in 3 phases) was straightforward and dates easily adjusted if something cropped up. The installation guys, Neil and Alan did a fantastic job on clearing away the old fireplace, cleaning the chimney and getting the space ready for the plasterer. They were professional and friendly and answered any questions I had. They also came back to install the log burner and again, they did a super job and work extremely well together. Tom the plasterer was also excellent. We are so thrilled with the overall result and I would highly recommend Ampthill Fireplaces to everyone.

Ampthill fireplaces offered a complete installation service for a new build house that required a mock chimney breast and flue for a wood burning stove. They visited the house to take measurements and made recommendations about which options would work well in the space available. We then visited the showroom to select options with help of some display materials.

Soon after we got a full quote and a list of dates over which the installation would take place. The end to end process was completely taken care of, so we just had be around on the right days for the contractors to work. The guys that come over were very friendly and worked tidily. We’re really happy with the results and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for anyone considering similar work.

From start to finish the service was the best we have ever experienced.
Helping us decide to ordering the fire place was second to none.
Fitting, what can I say, in the pst we have had trades people in and there is always some sort of issue, not one issue, fitters were amazing and the fire and surround were fitted with out any issues at all.
To say are we happy is a complete understatement.
Would I ever tell my friend and family to use this company…. I would be mad not to.

I thought I would provide a review 12 months after install. From organising the initial visit and providing a quote and detailing the work required based on our requirements was perfect. They installed and delivered exactly as specified removing the open fire, installing an electric insert led fireplace, blocked off the chimney, wired in the electrics and re-plastered the chimney breast and electric trunking. Would give 10 stars if I could! From start to finish James and the team at Ampthill Fireplaces were incredible. We live in a new build so didn't think a log burner would work however they gave honest advice, were professional and found solutions for everything.
