Store is very busy as usual a lot going on. Booked appointment online for phone battery service and been told will be ready to collect in 1.5hour, but end up took extra 1 hour. Lift was out of service and staff kindly offered to come down instead of me having to go upstairs to the service area with a walking stick.

Disappointing Experience at Apple Store Covent Garden

Rating: 1/5

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received at the Apple Store in Covent Garden on December 15, 2024. I had visited the store seeking assistance with an issue I've been experiencing with my iPhone battery.

I had replaced my iPhone battery on March 1, 2024, but unfortunately, the battery is not performing as expected. Despite being relatively new, the battery drains very quickly, and I often find myself needing to charge my phone three times a day.

I explained this issue to the support staff at the Apple Store in Covent Garden, and they transferred me to another staff member. Unfortunately, my conversation with this staff member was extremely disappointing. Her attitude was unhelpful and dismissive, and she seemed to be behaving as if she was doing me a favor by listening to my concern.

She suggested a few troubleshooting steps to enhance battery performance, but as a technical person myself, I knew that these steps would not have a significant impact on the battery's performance. For instance, she mentioned that using Google Maps for even 15 minutes could result in needing to charge my phone three times a day. I disagreed with this assessment, stating that if this were the case, it would imply that Apple products are unreliable.

In response to my concerns, the staff member made a comment that I found shocking and unprofessional. She said, "It's up to you if you don't want to buy, don't buy." I was taken aback by this response, as I believe it is not the kind of service that Apple customers expect from the company's support staff.

Throughout our conversation, I remained polite and courteous, but unfortunately, the staff member's attitude and response did not match my expectations. As a result, I left the store feeling disappointed and disrespected.

I hope that Apple Covent Garden will take my concern seriously and take necessary steps to ensure that customers receive the kind of service they expect from Apple. No one should have to experience the kind of treatment I received, and I hope that in the future, Apple's support staff will be more helpful, respectful, and professional.

The Apple Store in Covent Garden is more than just a place to buy gadgets; it's a destination in itself. Housed in a beautifully restored building, this store seamlessly blends historic architecture with Apple's signature modern aesthetic.

A Feast for the Eyes:

Stepping inside is like entering a temple of technology. The soaring ceilings, exposed brickwork, and abundant natural light create an airy and inviting atmosphere. The grand staircase, a centerpiece of the store, is a work of art in itself. Every detail, from the carefully curated product displays to the lush greenery, contributes to an overall sense of elegance and sophistication.

Genius Bar Excellence:

I recently booked an appointment at the Genius Bar to replace my iPhone battery. From the moment I arrived, the staff were nothing short of exceptional. They were friendly, welcoming, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping me. They clearly explained the process, answered all my questions, and kept me informed throughout the repair.

Impeccable Service:

What impressed me most was the level of care and attention to detail. The entire repair took about an hour, and my iPhone was returned to me in pristine condition. They even resealed the phone to ensure its water resistance, a service that many third-party repair shops often overlook. For only £85, I received a brand-new battery and the peace of mind that my phone was expertly serviced.

A Pleasant Shopping Experience:

Beyond the Genius Bar, the store itself is a joy to browse. The product displays are thoughtfully arranged, and there's ample space to explore and try out the latest Apple devices. The staff are always on hand to offer assistance, but they do so without being intrusive.

Overall Impression:

The Apple Store in Covent Garden is a shining example of what a retail experience should be. It's a place where beautiful design, cutting-edge technology, and exceptional customer service come together seamlessly. Whether you're a die-hard Apple fan or simply curious about the latest gadgets, this store is well worth a visit.

I’ve been here multiple times; it’s one of my favorite Apple Stores. The Apple Vision Pro demo went perfectly, and all the staff are very polite and friendly. However, there was one occasion in this store when a very persistent consultant approached me. Even though I said I didn’t need any help, he kept asking me questions: “Are you sure? Really sure? It looks like you’re waiting for something.” I found this phrase very strange, and I’m not sure consultants should be this pushy. Please address this issue. It’s not okay.

OMG the Interior. The gathering space. The use of old building and perfect light combination. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
Staff were helpful. Interesting fact the product which is £90 (worth $160-$170 CAD) there in UK. Same product is $120 CAD here in Canada(I am from Canada). I checked their website too? Its bit too pricey. Anyways the Interior was the part I would pay the money for.

Had to pay for the same product twice:
I purchased a headset online. My order was canceled without explanation and I was actually built for it so my money was blocked. They said the money will be refunded within 10 business days that’s long time. I went to store to re-purchase it requesting to use the same money that they’re blocking and they refused. So unfortunately, I bought a new headset and I paid for it again while my money is blocked online in Apple so I will have my money twice. I ask a manager to help me, but they said we cannot do anything for you in the store. I end up with one product and my money is blocked and they took my money now. It doesn’t show much respect or appreciation for customers. I’m pretty disappointed with Apple.

Terrible customer service from an old white man upstairs on top floor. Been told he’s the manager. How can someone so mean and racist be promoted as the manager. Everyone else was friendly, eventually had a young man at the entrance helped me out with my issue. Although he said he can’t override the decision made by people from the top floor but he did his best. Thanks god there’s still nice friendly people out there.

I've visited this Apple Store multiple times, even as a tourist, and it remains one of my favorites. The Apple Vision Pro demo is a must-try; it went perfectly and showcased the product beautifully. Every time I visit, I'm impressed by how polite and friendly the staff are, making the experience even more enjoyable. Their customer service truly stands out, and it enhances the overall atmosphere of the store. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!
