Fantastic customer service. I had a puncture I needed fixed in a time crunch and there was availability for me to drop off with the hour. On top of that I got a good feel for how I could fix a puncture myself moving forward. He also oiled my chain which was a bit squeaky.

Needs to work on his customer service.

So I bought an emergency bike off Amazon for my wife as she’d had hers stolen from her by a crazy man covered in blood who then pushed her into the canal whilst she was riding to work. Traumatic experience as I’m sure you can imagine. I’m no bike mechanic but I’d tried my best to assemble it but doing a test ride I could tell it wasn’t quite right. So I booked in to see the bike mechanic.

He immediately laughed at me and told me the forks were back to front, to which I replied; well thank god your here! Then he was rude about the fact that it was a cheap bike, to which I had to basically say I couldn’t really stump up a spontaneous spend of £500+ for a brand new snazzy bike. Which he then said; well, this is a dangerous bike to ride. The brakes don’t work. And I just stood there wondering if he meant in general forever the breaks wouldn’t work (on a brand new bike) or that they weren’t working because I’d fixed them on wrong. Then his mate came & also commented on the gears & how cheap it was.

I don’t understand why undermining someone, making them feel small & then making them worry for their wife’s safety on the roads is something this mechanic chose to do.

Kindness is free. He clearly needs more of it in his life.

I’m just glad it was me that took the bike to the repair shop & not my wife. After her experience being assaulted & thrown in the canal this overt rudeness & contempt would have reduced her to tears.

Jon was the most helpful person I have ever come across. He not only changed my wheels but also self checked the gears and tuned them also. He is super quick at what he does and extremely patient. Very nice person, I will be going again to get a proper fit also.

Jon doesn't need another 5 Star review - he's scored 4.9 already! But he does great work, and he's always very friendly and good value.

His dog is lovely too.
I've used him many times, and even bought a unicycle off him once.

Very fairly priced, I have no idea what planet the person who left the low rating is living on. Seems like Jon knows his stuff very well, and is also a nice bloke. Would definitely use his service again and recommend him to others.

I've gone to Jon many times for bike service. He's always done a top job. I've since moved and I've realised just how good he was by the comparatively crappier, more expensive bike repair outfits elsewhere!

John has just built me my dream bike (including two complete wheelbuilds!) in a couple of days from whole load of components and a frame that I took in to him, after another place let me down. Kept me informed every step of the way about the progress of the build and the bill was very reasonable too!!! Wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone. Really nice chap too.
