I got a drivetrain error message on my BMW X3 over the weekend. I called BMS on Monday afternoon and they managed to squeeze the car in for a diagnostic check on Tuesday first thing (despite being understandably VERY busy – they have a great reputation for a reason). I got a call at half past 10 to tell me what the issue was, that the part was on order and that it would arrive the same afternoon. I was back on the road by 5pm Tuesday. That alone would be great service, but the team were also super-friendly, polite and very professional. This was my first experience of BMS having heard a lot of great things over the years. I've been a main dealer customer since I bought the car 9 years ago. Never again. I am now a BMS convert. Thanks for a great experience from start to finish!

100% recommend! After going to another garage who told me my car was a write off because it was overheating and not holding water I thankfully got recommend to BMS. Thank goodness for recommendations! On taking my car to BMS and having them inspect it the diagnosis couldn’t have been more different. Turns out my car was overheating because it needed a new PAS fan as it had short circuited when a fuse had blown. They had actually taken the time to investigate thoroughly. What honest, knowledgable, hard working people I found and I know I will always use in future even though I have to travel a bit further. Thank you Lee & Kevin and all at BMS I am forever greatful to you for helping me keep my car on the road and my bank balance happy. 5 stars every day!

have been using lee at bms for around 4 years now and wouldn't take my bmw anywhere else!! had a issue with my 140i where the rear lights kept turning on and flashing intermittently, had taken it to bmw previously who failed to diagnose and repair the issue, take it into lee and within the day he has diagnosed the issue. part ordered, fitted, coded and back to me within the week! cant get better service then that! thank you so much car runs better then the day i got it!!

I have left it four months to write this , as I wanted to leave a reliable review.

Issue: my MINI engine had developed a persistent "drivetrain" issue which would surface on every drive. When the car went into drivetrain mode, it would significantly reduce the acceleration rate as it went into a protective mode.

I had taken the car to other dealers. MINI Official dealership gave me a completely unrealistic open-ended quote as they could not diagnose the fault, with their quote coming out around £5k at the high end.

Another garage quoted me to replace the timing chain at around £2k.

Another garage quoted me over £5k for a complete engine replacement.

BMS Surrey did initial diagnostic checks, and I was told there was likely to be one of two problems with the car, and was given a best case and worse case scenario. The fee estimate was realistic and narrow, £1-2k, and specifics were discussed.

Result: the repair was undertaken, it came to the higher end of the range which was very reasonable in the circumstances, and most importantly, I can confirm that after four months the problem has never re-surfaced. Thank you BMS Surrey.

Avoid if possible. Had brakes changed, after driving away they inherited shuddering when applying pressure, they did not update the cars service records which required an additional visit & later claiming the front brakes were at fault not the newly fitted rears - yet the rears where the only ones replaced at the time.
