Do not use this company! We took our family car in to get the air con checked and fixed (£90 to tell us it was broken and £470 to fix it). When we arrived to collect it after it's check the mechanic had left the ignition on and flattened the battery and was busy jump starting it (never had any issues with the battery before). No apology. Had lots of issues with it not starting for the week leading up to it going in for the air con repair and had to keep jump starting it. Took it in the following week for the repair and they had done the same thing again. We were due to drive it to Wales the same day and told the owner that we were really unhappy that they were busy jump starting it and that was the second time they had flattened the battery. Again, no apology and he was very very rude to my partner saying the battery must be defective etc. We h
gave him the opportunity to fix it and he said "we can fix it but not free of charge" - even though they knew they had broken it! Took the battery to get checked at Halfords and they said it was not a defective battery at all. Turns out they had managed to break the starter motor. Just had to pay £500 to get a new starter motor all because of them. Absolutely disgraceful and shocking customer service.

Cavendish Motors has looked after my cars repairs, schedule maintenance, and MOT's for many years. Marc and his service team stand out for their expert skills and knowledge, transparency, very good communication, value and genuine approach. Took my mazda in to sort out a blocked boost pipe i have a 7 year old autistic daughter and they bent over backward to arrange a courtesy car and kept me informed of the status of my repair and i cannot recommend them enough fair price excellent workmanship 10/10

If I could leave minus stars then I absolutely would!
The 'customer service' received from Cavendish Motors was abysmal. In fact, worse than abysmal.

To summarise briefly, on both occasions we left our vehicle at Cavendish, they flattened our battery. It's as simple as that. Both times we had to recharge our battery over a 3-5 day period. The battery was crucified so much that the starter motor died, which then needed to be replaced.
£560 for an air con check and condenser replacement, then £500 for a starter motor replacement for our troubles.
Not ONE single apology received from Cavendish, and then an absolute deceitful pack of lies in response to my partners first review.
Throughout the process, our financial situation was insulted, by commenting "You're going to Wales in THAT?"
I'm sorry Marc (Cavendish) but that's the car I can afford.
Not only that, but when I mentioned I was taking my two disabled family members, he then proceeded to say "I wouldn't be taking them anywhere in THAT" , with a smug grin on his face.

Marc, you (or your mechanics) flattened our battery....TWICE!....you haven't taken any responsibility for it, apologised, offered any solution to your mistake (not mine!) And conducted yourself in a truly disgusting manner.

Your own words were "Are you accusing us of flattening your battery?"
Well Marc, yes....yes we are.....because that's exactly what happened!

Now we've had to pay out for a new starter motor for the privilege.

Do the right thing and rectify your mistake. You made it, so own it.
You can literally say anything you like in response to this, but it won't change the facts, and it won't stop me from seeking justice.

Marc and the lads are extremely helpful, went in with an issue with my car, no hesitation from the lads and instead of having it booked in they worked on it straight away. First class service and will continue to take both mine and my partners car here for any work that needs carried out. Highly recommended

Took my car in to ask advice regarding the awd system. Did a complete health check and road test and it was pointed out the rear brakes were only just working which I was aware of. Took it back for a rear brake replacement and full service, car runs beautifully now and is a pleasure to drive so will be going to Cavendish from now on.

My VW Touareg has been to Cavendish Motor Company twice and both times Marc and his team have provided me with first class service.
They have gone above and beyond my expectations and put in the extra effort to ensure that my car was returned in first class condition.
I would definitely recommend this company for all your maintenance work and MOTs.
I will certainly be taking my car there for the foreseeable future.

Marc & his team as always do great job & always look after the car .
Wouldn't dream of going anywhere else , we had problems which were caused by us using backstreet garage, Marc came to rescue & since then we have let Cavendish do the job . They always let you know what's needed , what's going to be required next time & keep in touch with you whilst working on car
