Do not ever use this garage they took my sons car and had it over 6 weeks they said it was done. took it home broke down gave the car back to them 2 weeks later he said it was fixed 2 days after that broke down same issue as before the owner told me he didn’t want it back after giving him £900. I had a machanic look at the car and said the gasket was leaking oil into the plugs I had brand new coil packs before I took it to the garage when the machanic looked at the car C&F have swapped all my coil packs for old ones and didn’t think I would notice even though I told them I had all new coil packs with boxes and receipt to prove it trade in standards are now involved and I’m taking them to court because this is theft.

Customer service was horrific, I took a cylinder head to them saturday for my motorbike since the old exhaust header and studs were seized in there. I had asked about a price and one of the guys there was hard to understand but I was told 80 pounds for the studs and exhaust header to be removed nothing more, the guy then asked me if I’d like it skimmed for another 45 I believe and I said no then left it with them until the Monday which is when he said to come back. Just to also add no name or number was taken he just said come back Monday.

The following Monday I came back and it wasn’t quite done which didn’t bother me however he said they were just getting the old exhaust header out and had done the studs then was going to skim it and I said again I didn’t want it skimmed. Although it wasn’t done he did say I could pay so I thought I might aswell and asked for the price, all of a sudden it’s shot up from 80 quid to 280!!!!! I basically had to negotiate with him and agreed at 150 just to get it done out the way but it’s almost like they are making up the prices as they go. Not only did he want more than originally asked for he also wanted cash and doesn’t take card. I paid and didn’t get any sort of receipt although I did get a “I’m not doing any more jobs for you or your company” even though my employer doesn’t do any work with or for them, all this because I was haggling him apparently?

Paid and took the head as quick as I could since I was also on lunch, got back to work and had a look at the head this is where I figured his name is Arthur because part of the header was still in the exhaust port not only that but they have mullered down inside the walls of the port, this now means I still can’t get my bike together since I need that exhaust header out to but in the exhaust currently on my bike so I have paid 150 for almost no reason.

Terrible experience overall highly recommend staying away from them, if they did this to a tiny little cylinder I can only imagine what they are doing to the cars that come in.

A Huge thanks to this professional company,
I would highly recommend to anybody who has engine issues with their vehicles.
The exceeded my expectations.
I was kept updated, the work completed in the time frame given .
These guys really know there stuff , can't recommend enough.
I now have my ford ranger back on the road thanks to C and F . Previously my ranger had been fixed by another garage who totally ripped me off.
Thanks once again guys you've done me proud.

These guys picked up my ford transit custom, removed the blown engine and replaced it with a new engine block and then swapped all my old components over to the new block, the timing was impeccable, and so far so good. The customer service was amazing while adding a few new components free of charge. I cannot fault these guys 1 bit. I am happy to have put my trust in them.

They walked me around the workshop and met the engineers who are all top of their game.

I would ignore these terrible reviews and meet these guys and speak to Jonathan yourself and make your own decision.

Had my jaguar f pace blow an engine late November ..u called john at c and f and he arranged for my car to be picked up....I went to the garage next day and gave them the go ahead to re build my engine.. they are a very very busy engine re building specilist company....from what I can see they have a little production line going on...the engine gets stripped then goes off to the different departments to be checked and then repaired/ renewed as necessary.. I was really impressed....looks like they have some real tallanted guys who know their stuff..
My engine was done and iv done 2000 miles with absolutely no issues...john , paul and the boys did a brilliant job....thanks.......would highly recommend this workshop....tish

The worst customer service ever. Do not let them have your vehicle. They picked up my boyfriends minibus in October 2021 to replace the engine, after numerous phone calls to them for an update on it, only to be fobbed off by 'Jonathan', that it had been fixed but had failed it's MOT, he still kept this story up until today, 1st April 2022, when we paid him a visit, turns out no work has been carried out on the vehicle he has told us lie after lie. And we are having the minibus taken back home on the back of a recovery truck as it hasn't been repaired. Don't let this cowboy anywhere near your vehicle.

We had contacted these guys as we had a transit engine blown. They collected within a day and took the vehicle to there garage promising a short turn around. Weeks and weeks passed being promised by Johnathan the van would be ready and returned. After us pressing with them having the van for more than 2 and a half months they had not even started it. They then proceeded to tell me they had a break in and our vehicle had a radio and lights stolen. A few weeks went by and eventually the van was redelivered to our premises throwing masses of white smoke out with the engine bay full of oil with an engine warning light on. They told is to ring the rac! The van cab was cover in oil, dash board damaged, front bumper damaged, bonnet bra missing, rear of the luton box damaged, smashed glass in the doors. This was not the van we sent to them. They did pay for the lights and the radio but rather than fit correctly they just put it loose in the dashboard. The van went back to them and they told us they had sorted it. It came back us with an engine light on and was rejected for a second time. Third time they told us it was a DPF problem and they would clean it. Tbh if the engine blows it will send a lot of stuff down the exhaust. This should be investigated. After all, when you have a new engine fitted you want it to run correctly.
When the van was redelivered for a third time it run like it was missing and it was low powered. We have since had the first oil change down on the new engine and our garage tells us that the engine isn't right as it is running lumpy and the tensioner is loose. We sent the van back today and they have told us it is a dpf problem and the tensioner is ot looses. So it turns out today they had swapped out dpf for one they had in the yard from another old van. They told us they cleaned our old one. We would never put old used parts on our vehicles and should of asked us if we would like a new or reconditioned part to be fitted. Rather than pushing the van out of the yard.
We are now bringing the van back to out depot and having it looked at by a professional garage who will write a full report on the work carried out and we are going to recover any monies through court for any work on this engine that needs to be carried out. Which includes the second hand DPF they had fitted without prior agreement.
By and far the worst garage or experience in 35 years in business. I wouldn't touch them with a barge poll again. Be warned people.

The service that we received from C and F Eng was second to none. My car began to play up during my long drive from Lincolnshire to London on Friday evening. I needed to get assistance immediately or I risked causing major damage to my engine.
I was greeted by John, the owner of C & F who assured me that he could help. He could see that I was clearly distressed. He not only took my car in but drove my kids and I an hour and a half out of his way to Wembley so we would get home safely.
The job was completed in a timely manner and they even dropped the car back to our home free of charge this afternoon. Not only was John an incredibly interesting man who offered wonderful conversation as we sat in London Friday night traffic but he gave me hope in the customer service on offer in the UK.

Thank you very much for helping us get back on the road. We cannot thank you enough.
