My ageing Samsung laptop required a replacement mains power socket and lid hinge near the end of w/c 3 March 2025 and I took the device to Computer Assistance in Oxford the following day. The assistant was extremely helpful and booked the laptop in for a check. Within two hours I had received a report, giving details of the repair and the cost. Even though a new component needed to be ordered, the work was completed within two working days and my computer is functioning perfectly again.
I cannot rate Computer Assistance highly enough for their customer service, quality of work and reasonable charges, and I recommend them without hesitation.

Computer Assistance have saved my laptop several times. They have provided quality repairs, so that that my older laptop runs like new. They have also offered upgrades to the hardware when possible; these were made with full transparency, and with no pressure. Excellent service, kind and approachable staff & high-quality, diligent work. I usually don’t write reviews, but I had to make an exception for this place. Without a doubt, this is the best computer and electronics repair shop in all of Oxford. These guys are not your average dummy “apple geniuses”, the team here isn’t just about quick fixes like replacing phone screens—they’re genuinely helpful, kind and most importantly incredibly knowledgeable!

Recently I brought them the most random repair job - control box of my garage door motor. To my surprise, they knew more about the circuit board than my so-called reputable supplier I originally purchased it from. No one else in Oxford could even look into this issue, and garage door specialists were quoting me an absolute fortune.

In just 30 minutes, they solved weeks of frustration by creatively reusing parts from older power units. It was brilliant watching Mircea work! I’m beyond grateful for their help. If you’re looking for real expertise and outstanding service, this is the place to go.

Final transfer including (E-mail) very tricky as recovery Phone long disappeared. Three Cheerful geniuses wrestled with the problem for a couple of hours and finally breakthrough!

Used them multiple times over the last few years and they have always been great.

Popped in today with a NUC pc with loose HDMI port and they did their best to fix it for me, spending time on soldering it and trying to get to work. Ultimately it was a no fix and they did not charge me.
