Ordered roofing supplies through Amazon but they arrived damaged. Amazon have been supportive but FastFix have tried to use every excuse they can to avoid arranging a collection and refund, directing me to arrange through Amazon, but there is no option to arrange collection through their customer service so I am then directed back to FastFix. Shocking customer service.

Edited following the following request from the managing director of this company.

The items arrived damaged but the delivery driver was back in the van and driving away by the time I got to them. They were put into my shed by a friend, I did not think to photograph them and unfortunately have limited mobility meaning I cannot retrieve them myself.

I have explained that I cannot get to the items however if a collection is agreed I will call upon someone to get them out again, but I do not wish to put out the people I rely on too much already.

Your company referred me back to Amazon whose automated return options do not include a collection, and when speaking to the customer service team they refer me back to you.

When did I ever ask to keep the items? I could have done this countless times and Amazon would have refunded me without question, but the whole point of this exchange is that I am trying to get you to pick up the items from the location they were delivered to.

Oh, and being polite and providing good customer service are not the same thing, I never said that your representative was rude, just that they ignored my rights as a consumer. Under the Consumer Rights Act I do not need to prove the goods were faulty, you have to prove they weren't, which you will be unable to do.

Edit number 2; Amazon have granted the refund now as FastFix have failed to respond to my challenge, I still have the items but eagerly await them being collected as per my original request. Mr Downward's comment about bending over backwards feels somewhat exaggerated from where I am sitting.

Order placed, Amazon absolutely rubbish at communicating. Ended up having to call Fastfix, who sorted out the blockage ( which was Amazon), delivered the goods ( which they had in stock) and the member of staff was amazing and very helpful. Note to self- purchase direct
