I don’t know how this shop is still in business & isn't breaking trading standards laws. Part of a charging cable had broken off inside the charging point of my phone so I took it into Alton Fone mart on the High street & there was a young man who said he could fix it for £20 & to pick it up in an hour. I went back in a hour - which was 16.20 & the shop was closed. I tried ringing the shop number, nobody answered so I left a message. A gentleman rang me back about 5pm & said the young lad had gone home at 15.30 - which was only 10 minutes after I left my phone with him.
The gentleman in the phone said he was in London so he could’nt do anything but would try to get hold of the young lad I’d left my phone with & ring me back. I didn’t get a call back.
I am actually single woman who’s phone is their lifeline as I have epilepsy & need my phone incase anything happens & I need help. If I knew I wouldn’t have got my phone back I wouldn’t have left it with them & taken it elsewhere!
I got a call the next day & was told my phone had been fixed & ready to collect. They then told me it was £70 not £20 that I had been quoted. These people are scammers. Do not take your phone to this shop or use this business!

Asked the guy to look at my son's phone, which wasn't charging. He said he would need to take it apart, which would cost £35.00, and that it would probably need a new part, a further £70.00. I felt suspicious and went all the way to Aldershot to the Tesco mobile place there, where a kind and helpful lady cleaned out some fluff from the phone, problem solved, no charge. I think the Phone Mart guy could see immediately what the problem was, but was content to try to rip me off big time. Avoid.

Gave a quote of £20. Told they would have it done in an hour, to find out they closed ten minutes after leaving at 3.20pm. For someone who depends on their phone for MEDICAL reasons, not very professional. Next day phone got collected and charged £70. NEVER TRUST THIS PLACE

Useless repairs. Don't waste your time or money. Will cost you more than quoted £25 more to clean mobile before replacing anything. Just don't go here.

Had a software fault which stopped me using my phone.A local shop, Fonemart in Alton came to the rescue. The owner showed his knowledge and expertise in getting it all back together, backing up data and messages etc. He then reloaded safe software and re-installed everything. Phone now works like new.
Finally, the charge for this was very competitive and was excellent value for the money. I can totally recommend using the service here.
