I recently had a sadness with my phone at Lydford Gorge which meant that it was unsable. I needed a phone to connect with other people travelling that day and, while Fonehouse were unable to repair my phone, they supplied a second hand phone* and helped me set it up (not an easy thing when I appeared to need the old phone to get through the app security checks) and get back on the road in under 45 minutes.

*explaining that, for my needs, I was better off buying the cheaper model than the one that had caught my eye in the display cabinet.

This is pure old fashioned customer service at its very best. I cannot remember when I last had such a wonderful service like this. Helpful, polite, attentive, knowledgeable, kind, considerate and most of all patient!
For a technophobe like me I can tell you it really did mean a lot. Kieron is a massive asset to this company and went above and beyond.

I recently visited Fonehouse in Tavistock to change my SIM-only contract. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble when there were some issues with the porting of my old number and then accessing voicemails.

It's rare to get such fantastic service so thanks very much to everyone who helped me. I'll probably look at buying a new SIM-free phone in the next few months and I will definitely support Fonehouse in Tavistock in future rather than buy on the internet or deal with someone in a foreign call centre.

Please support this local shop and you won't regret it because the staff know what they're talking about, nothing is too much trouble for them and they're very friendly. Thanks so much to all the staff!!

Excellent service, could not of asked for better. Phoned to check if they could fit a battery to my iphone which had died. As i am local took my phone to the shop and within a hour had a txt to inform me my phone was fixed. What more can you ask of a local business.

Visited the phone shop due to having previously had a screen put on my phone twice somewhere else and my phone not working properly still. Within minutes the welcoming staff, looked at my phone and managed to fix it back to its original working condition, and all while I was in the shop. Fantastic service! Would highly recommend. Excellent, profession and polite service from Kieran on Monday 27 March. A new phone purchased, all data transferred from old one, and explanation of all the new "gizmos" on modern mobiles. I highly recommend this shop - nice to keep things local.
