Great service and prices at this garage. Excellent communication. I had a full service at this site and any additional work required was only carried out after speaking to me which was reassuring. The staff there are all courteous and friendly which is good, as other garages have not always been so great with customer service.

I took my wheels in to get balanced after they had been refurbed, they didn't take the old weights off and stuck a load of sticky weights on to counter act the old weights, and on top of that they damaged 2 of the wheels, looks like they was dropped face down on the floor and chipped every spoke of the alloys. The owner is really nice friendly guy but his staff and absolutely useless.

Could not recommend more - 11/10 service
I went to VW to get my car serviced (part of the plan) and was quoted £170 for them to look at removing a pet restraint from my car. I refused to pay that and headed down the road to formula one. Thank god I did! The guys took a look and within 6 minutes the restraint was out and my car fixed. The staff are absolute stars, and I would not hesitate to recommend the garage. I will be going there for any further work I need! Thanks!

I don't like leaving negative reviews for people who are just trying to make a living but I really am disappointed with F1 Redditch.

First off - I don't believe anyone is trying to be malicious here. I feel that maybe training for techs isn't adequate.

So, earlier this year I had suspension/axle work on my car. I needed an alignment after this so booked it in here (~100mi from home, staying with family) and had to wait over an hour after the time they gave me before they even started. Think one of their MOT people were in hospital awaiting a child that day though so I can excuse a delay.

After, I noticed the steering was not straight. At ALL. I know mistakes happen, I know my car is fine other than alignment. Called again, booked it in for when I was next there. Luckily they offered to check it for free for me again. Small corrections needed apparently. Again, I got in and immediately something is wrong. Wheel is MORE off-center.

I did go back inside after a quick test drive and tell them it's not right, but they only tried to blame suspension issues (JUST had it all fixed.)

I really regretted trusting someone else to do it by this point and as it's just the toe that was off on both wheels I took it home to align it myself by feel and mirrored rotations of the tie rod ends.
To my horror I jacked the car up and found one tie rod end completely rusted shut and one that had been pen-oiled and adjusted with the nut left completely unscrewed.
This means they only ever adjusted one wheel at the front for toe. And didn't even bother to tighten the locking nut.
If I had hit a pothole it could have actually changed my steering angle on one wheel which can be so dangerous. I drove 300 miles like this.

I know this is a recurring theme with these guys because my dad (has BUILT cars before) has the exact same issue YEARS ago. He even got under the car with them and said to adjust BOTH wheels (or they'll both point to one side with straight steering... common sense?) and the guy working just didn't get it at all - said it was incorrect.

Probably not the worst £80 spent of my life (and an hour of my time fixing their mistakes) but definitely up there.

I am sorry to say I will NOT trust these guys for anything alignment related, or ever use an F1 garage again. The technician when I went there was absolutely inadequately informed but certainly had to know to tighten lock nuts back on.

So I had my tyres booked in on Monday to be changed as the technician started removing my wheels i asked if he had black wheel weights as I have black wheels.
He responded saying that he wouldn't be balancing my wheels as the balancing machine broke that morning.
I immediately stopped the work as I paid for balancing, I rebooked for the Thursday and went back to recieve a fantastic service.
My black wheels are un scratched and great.
