Called in yesterday after an issue with my friends tubeless tyre plug while out bikepacking. Sorted with a track pump and fresh plug and a couple of tubes just incase.
Rear shifter cable ferrol had dislodged itself in the lever somehow as we set off again. About turn and the lad out of the shop had it back in and indexed no problem at all.

Had major issue with the back wheel hub on a one day coast to coast ride. Managed to limp to Ghyllside Cycles for 9am (shop opens at 9.30am). Calvin looked at my bike immediately (9am) carried out a 'temporary fix' making a spacer and adding a new bearing with the aim of getting me to the nearest train station. With this quick fix I got all the way to the East Coast and completed the ride - Fantastic service, great technical knowledge will never forget the day or Ghyllside Cycles - Allan Whittaker, Leicestershire

Great shop and service. Popped in as the short bolt holding my shifter to the brake clamp on my mountain bike had disappeared at the start of a few days holiday. Was given a bolt they had which fitted for free. Ended up buying a new seatpack and mini-pump whilst I was there from their great stock.

One of our group had a broken spoke and buckled wheel, so we called in here on the way back to our accommodation. They fitted him in and repaired the wheel within the hour, ready for the next day's cycling. Brilliant customer service. A few of us went in for accessories and the staff are very friendly and knowledgable with a huge display of stock. We couldn't ask for more. Thank you.

I rented a mountain bike from Ghyllside Cycles for cycling 46km through the Lake District with a cycling guide (Mark from Outdoor Adventures). It was an amazing experience!

The bike that was loaned was very easy to maneuver, and the tyres were very sturdy. I cycled through uphills, rockier and hilly terrains through the summer rain without issues. The staff even loaned me a spare tyre tube, and patiently helped to adjust my seat to ensure that I could comfortably utilise the bicycle.

Although it was my first time cycling on more challenging natural hilly terrains, I felt safe and could trust the bike.

Would definitely recommend individuals who wish to go on cycling adventures at the lake District to rent a bike from Ghyllside Cycles and reach out to Mark!
