Recently bought a Jaguar from Andy and having always gone through main dealers for cars previously I was a little apprehensive using an independent dealer, however both Andy and his son where brilliant, very much a no pressure sale where I was left to inspect the car and make sure I was happy with it before taking it for a test drive and offered a good price for my part ex
A month later my circumstances had changed and I seen the vehicle was still available I rang Andy up and said can I come and collect it and he made sure it happened within 48 hours.
I had a small issue with the battery on the vehicle and Andy sorted it very fast at no inconvenience to myself.

Recently brought a BMW 2016 series from this company and it's a good little runner and I wanted what is predominantly my last car to help me get around due to bad health.
I'm happy with the BMW and it was a pleasure to deal with the gentleman who sold me the car who made everything easy to follow.
I decided to use my own garage to put the car through an MOT it passed apart from an advisory to do the brakes but I didn't mind paying as I told Andy that I was happy to take the car before he could do the MOT himself.
Would have give 5 stars 🌟 for the overall professional experience from purchasing the car from this company, but the only let down was a few niggles I had the pollen filter replaced and I think the previous owner must have been a young person as the inside of the car a few scratches and marks here and there.
Little things but nothing serious.
I would definitely use this company again overall a good experience Thankyou for helping me and thanks for you're kindness.

My partner and I purchased a car for £10,000 from Grant Specialist Cars in October 2024, and unfortunately, we’ve since discovered that they sold us a faulty vehicle and have refused to take full responsibility.

Shortly after purchasing the car, the oil light came on. Initially, we thought it was a minor issue and refilled the oil, but within a week, the oil light came back on. Upon inspection by a trusted mechanic, we were informed that there is an oil leak between the engine magnets—a serious engine fault.

The car was sold with a three-month warranty, clearly stated on our receipt, which covers “major mechanical (engine or gearbox parts and labour).” However, when we approached the dealership, they only offered to cover 50% of the repair costs. When we replied to their offer and referenced the warranty terms, they stopped responding entirely.

To make matters worse, we discovered that two of the car’s advertised features—a high tech security system and the heated wing mirrors—are not functioning either.

The customer service has been appalling. They’ve shown a complete lack of accountability and willingness to resolve these issues. Buyers should be cautious, as this dealership seems comfortable selling faulty cars and then shirking responsibility when problems arise.

My husband and I bought a Jaguar from Andy which was our first purchase from Grant Specialist Cars. The car was purchased for myself and it is perfect! It is in excellent condition and beautiful inside and out! Andy was ever so friendly, helpful and went out of his way to make the whole experience pleasurable and with ease. If l could give this company a lesser star then l would and read all the reviews a bit further down, before you buy, and dont brush them aside as complainers they are not. l bought a Mercedes b class from Andy he charged me £200 fee on purchase for bogus fee to do with the set up of the finance, so l contacted my finance company to check the fee doesn't exist, l have contacted trading standards as traders should advertise fees and they don't.
So drove the 50 miles home and upon excelleration over 60mph the car would hesitate, so l took it to a local garage, who ran a full diagnostics £130.00 later the car has about £1600 worth of work on the engine. This all within the first 30 days.
So, contact Andy, his son responded said return the car we will do the works. They had the car a week, on collection when asked if the work on the report was done yes yes is the responce and ill send you the paper work.
Turns out they changed a piston or two, but nothing to repair the manifold issues. I know this because l had it checked again costing another £130.00.
I went back to Andy stating my consumer rights as the fault occurred within the first 30 days, l have the right to reject the car and l had given him the chance to repair the vehicle this was totally brushed aside by him.
I want to return the vehicle and again I was asked to bring it back to see what he is prepared to do, which is actually very little to fix the fault totally ignoring my consumer rights as the vehicle is faulty.
Not to mention that its a round trip 100 mile jouney. In the end I have had go to my finance company to resolve the problem.
Stir clear of this seller or if you do buy a car check the car at local trusted garage immediately. Also if he says I'll send you the information (he won't) it's brush off. If you have any issus with the vehicle it won't be resolved by him.
Dont say you weren't warned.

((*Update: Your response is shocking to me as you have not responded to the finance company that is trying to contact you. The fee is a fee not advertised on autotrader or at point of sale in writing. It wasn't explained to me as you say because my sister was with me as a witness.
I want to return the vehicle as is my consumer right to do so as the reports clearly show a fault you had your chance to resolve the problems l took 100 mile round and a holiday from work to give you the chance to resolve the problem. I dont have time nor can l be without a vehicle for week at a time. Yes problems do occur that is what someones consumer rights are for and that is why l brought the car back for too you fix the issue, that keeps returning .

We bought a Mercedes SLK 350 from Andy a few weeks ago. Really pleased with the service we received during and after buying. There was a slight problem with one of the sensors. Andy did not quibble about paying for it to be put right and dealt with it very promptly. I would not hesitate in recommending using this company.

Purchased a used car from Grant Specialist Cars, they were first class in all they did, I was a little nervous because viewing is 'by appointment only', however, from the moment I arrived and saw the team dressed very smartly and in matching polo shirts, you get a sense of how professional they are.

I was dealt with by Nathan, what a credit he is to the business, no pressure sales, came up and told me about a TPMS fault and assured me that it would be remedied prior to collection when purchased, took the car on a test drive and he was chatty but not pushy, very relaxed drive.

Decided to purchase the car, paid a £100 deposit and arranged for collection a few days later after they had the chance to sort out the TPMS issue.

Upon collection, there was a couple of warning messages / lights - OSF tyre was losing air - Nathan pumped it up but it had lost air again the next day, phoned Nathan and he immediately said to take it to their mechanic and they would sort the tyre (was a leaky valve), also had a service engine soon light come up, again, booked in with their mechanic with no quibbles - turned out to be a failed glow plug, replaced with no cost to me.

Absolutely first class service from what I believe to be a very trustworthy company, their customer service in sorting out these issues was second to none, no arguments or discussions, just sorted them out with a smile on their face.

Can't recommend these guys enough, buying a second hand car can be nervy enough (with some of the dodgy dealers out there), these guys made it a pleasant experience and showed just how a good business should operate.
