Just bought a new Hybrid bike HYB 8.9. It looks better in the flesh than the web photo, the colour is great. It rides well. I love the 12x1 gear ratios. Richard at Halfords gave a great service.

I thought you book a date and time and it get done on the day. How wrong was I, it can take up to 2 weeks to get your bike back from a service so I had to cancel. Basically it's quicker to get your car service then your bicycle.

My rear brake light was out and I decided to go to Halfords, Watford for them to fit a new bulb. I was not disappointed, the price was very reasonable and Lawrence fitted the new bulb with no issues at all. He was very polite and courteous. Will definitely be using Halfords again. Thank you Lawrence and thank you Halfords.

Had battery changed by Ahmad today at Watford Lowe High street on the 23rd feb 2025. He was very efficient and informative also very friendly and knowledgeable. What a lad. Absolutely happy and pleased with the service. Will definitely come back again

Product selection is fine but whole experience is let down when coming to pay. One particular person is very unfriendly (we all get off days I know). Wasn't going to post a review until I checked other 1 * reviews and said person is named by other reviewers, so it's obviously a continuous issue. Wouldn't go back based on this experience. Having worked hard for my money I prefer to spend it where it's appreciated or at least given the impression it isn't a chore to be served.

I prefer to sing the praises of a good business, but in this case Halford fell way short. In the past I have only had good experiences but not this time.
I entered the store in the afternoon to purchase a TomTom Satnav. I looked at a few and I wanted to know about traffic and something else. There was no staff available to help me even though I stood there for 5 minutes. so I spoke to the lady at the checkout so as to call someone. She said someone is coming, no one came after I waited another 5 minutes. I went to her again and politely requested her to call someone. Eventually a young chap came but he had no answer to my queries. He said that he would have to call a supervisor, and at that point I politely left the store.
I went home and ordered the Satnav from Amazon, which was very easy to do.
Sorry Halford, you blew a sale.

I’m HUGELY impressed with the incredible level of service I received from Rob (the Manager, I think). He helped me with a dash cam enquiry and was extremely knowledgeable, it’s nice to be looked after by someone who knows what they are talking about. He really looked after me and booked me in for a fitting too. He made everything really easy for me. Thanks Rob!
