I note an earlier review, suggesting that the prices cannot be justified and they would be sticking to other establishments. Personally I'll be sticking to here. Sticking to high quality drinks. Sticking to really good simple food. Sticking to being served by friendly, knowledgeable local staff who work really hard and ensuring great service at your table. Sticking to a beautifully decorated and kitted out and thoughtfully named locally owned and run business. I support the other pubs, cafes and shops in the village too but appreciate the investment and what's been achieved here and the vision the owners have for the bar and the village. There is a price to pay for 'cheap', usually by those at the bottom of the chain. A more important measure is value for money and the overall experience in JJ's, in my most humble of opinions, is that it is worth sticking with.

It's not often I rate an establishment 5 stars.
Usually I rate at 4. This place absolutely deserves 5.
We just happened to be in the area. Looking inside we saw tables full of people, always a good clue.
We weren't disappointed. Food was excellent, service, even better. Friendly service with time to stop for a quick word.
There was music playing at a low level. This meant that the greatest sound was the burble of conversation. No need to shout as in some places.
Arnside is lucky to have this place. We live in Bolton, about 80 minutes away but will will return. A very pleasant experience.

What a lovely place! The service was friendly and excellent. We went for something to eat in the evening and came across this place. OMG i have to say it was the best pizza I’ve ever eaten!! Delicious!! (I had the caprino with truffle oil 😍🤤😋) I couldn’t eat it all so enjoyed it the second time round the day after! 🤣
The wine (Pinot grio blush) was lovely too and my husband was also happy with the local ale and the Pinot noir. Our dog was also very happy people watching and enjoyed her refreshments, treat and fuss 🥰 we all enjoyed the views over the beach. We’ll definitely be back again! I may have missed it (selfishly I was too engrossed in my own food 🤣) maybe a little menu for the dogs would be a great edition 🤗 Thank you for a lovely evening 👏🏻😋😊

Really enjoyed our pizza which I shared with my partner as it was a good portion. Coffee was nice. Lovely views over bay. It took a while to place order as no one seemed to notice we had been waiting so we had to shout for someone to come over but the food cane quickly. I will definitely go back as pizza was nice and menu had a good choice, drinks were reasonably priced. Staff just need to be a bit more aware of customers waiting.

Dropped in for a quick drink while waiting for fish and chips at Arnside Chippy. Such a nice atmosphere, brilliant service and stunning views made us wish we could have stayed longer. Pleased to see dogs were welcome and the ale was good (Lancaster Amber). Will be back, no doubt, to try the food!

Lovely cafe with excellent customer service. Served by a welcoming lad who made our experience comfortable and supported my elderly grandmother off the high chair. Amazing hospitality!

A nice place with good staff. Dog friendly. It's clearly a bar that does coffee and cake. We had croissants and coffee. The coffee was ok but sadly served in a paper cup and plastic lid. I wonder what alcohol is served in. The croissants were very soggy and I will not be back as there are plenty of better cafes nearby.
