Had a really bad coolant leak and had to get the car recovered to a close garage out of hours.

These guys said it wasn’t a problem and ordered the part straight away. Once the part arrived on a Friday afternoon they told me the car was getting sorted straight away. I think most garages would have wrapped on it until the following Monday so kudos to them, saved my bank holiday.

Terrific garage. Very helpful, courteous, and trustworthy. I took my car in with suspension trouble a couple of months ago, and they had it fixed within the day at a very fair price. It's been running perfectly ever since. I also found, after driving home, that they'd replaced my locking wheel nut remover (which I couldn't find when I'd dropped the car off) and put it safely in a bag in my glove box— a really thoughtful extra touch. Thank you very much.

My experience was negative. I think the original John Cox set the reputation, but the current generation are not as good. Had an oil leak. Took car there to change a few parts. A weeks later, was driving and heard a rattle coming inside bonnet, had to make an emergency stop at the nearest garage. They checked and noticed loose screws. I was lucky as engine was almost dropping off! Not using again

Needed a clutch change urgently, and they fitted the job in the next day! Friendly and efficient service, and a reasonable price - recommended.
FOLLOW-UP - 3 months later, we had a breakdown in the car, and were towed back to John Cox's after hours, but the next day they had the problem fixed, and 24hrs after breaking down, we had the car back all mended. Great service again - many thanks!

Excellent all round service, and great communication throughout. Eliot & Joe went above and beyond to make sure the car was fixed in a timely manner, and managed to diagnose and fix the problems with the car. Would highly recommend to anyone requiring a trust worthy and skilled mechanic!
