Darren is amazing and very considerate of his customers, he fitted my daughters car in at short notice when she needed to go on long journey home as he was worried her car wasn't fit for the journey. Can’t praise Darren enough. My rear lights and indicators had stopped working while away from home. I’d rung at least half a dozen other garages and been let down by the car manufacturer’s local dealership. Darren fitted me in straight away, despite being really busy and repaired the damage for a reasonable price as well as taking the time to explain what had gone wrong and writing a note for my garage at home. Just moved to the area and a fault appeared on my car re the parking brake. Called around several garages in the area and Darren at Millgate was the only garage flexible enough to squeeze me in for a diagnostic appointment. The car started throwing up more fault messages and Darren repeatedly had the car in to see what was going on. He quickly diagnosed two potential issues; one expensive, one not, ordered the parts I needed and within a few days, had my car in and repaired. It was the less expensive fault and he didn’t charge me anything for the parts he was having to send back. Wasn’t expecting to find my garage of choice within two weeks of being in the South West, but I have and now won’t be going anywhere else. Honest, genuine, reliable, flexible, hard-working & just one of life’s genuinely good people. Can’t recommend Millgate Motors enough, top quality service all round.

Even though Darren is a very popular and busy machanic he was able to sort our jam jar out with new front discs and pads at a last minute phone call and able to fit us in.

We had to have my daughter’s clutch replaced as it was wearing out fast so I gave Millgate Motors a call on the recommendation of an existing customer. From that very first contact, Darren was extremely polite and helpful, very knowledgable about the car and incredibly speedy in providing us with a quote for the job - which was very reasonable. The car was booked in and he replaced the clutch in a day - the car now drives like a dream! Darren even charged a little less than he’d quoted as he said it hadn’t taken as long as he thought it might, which was the icing on the cake. Mechanics like Darren are hard to find so we will definitely be back with our other cars for servicing and repairs. Use this garage with confidence - they are the real deal.
