Booked my Service ‘B’ & MoT for 30/09/24 following a quick chat via WhatsApp. Agreed a price match after reviewing another quote I rec’d from a MB specialist. They seemed keen to do the work.

I dropped the car within agreed timeframe, and expected to be able to pick up later that day.

I was contacted at approx. 16:30 and informed that the work was not complete and needed to be complete the next day.

Whoever has Mercedes Me App can check when the vehicle is accessed. The vehicle was accessed after this time.

Having accepted that the vehicle was to be left overnight, I received a phone call the next morning (8:50 am), saying the work was complete and I could collect.

All the paperwork is comparable to that of Main Dealers, Health check is comprehensive. The MoT was completed on 30/09/24 at 16:50.

I cannot say they did not carry out service work, the App is not entirely conclusive.

However, after a few days of checking (digital oil sensor takes time to update after oil changes/top ups), my oil is at same level as before !!!

I can’t say I have experienced Premier service , as they describe themselves. In 20+ years of owning different makes of vehicle, I have never needed to leave a vehicle overnight for service/MoT work. There are some aspects that are positive.

I have provided feedback to Motoraid, following their own email/text, but had no response. They ask if I would use them again, would I recommend them to friends/family? Unsurprisingly, the answer is No.

First time using MotorAid in Hainult and couldn't be more please with the service, results and turnaround time.

Had an issue with my sunroof on a C63 507 being jammed, not opening or closing. Dropped off the vehicle at 10am and collected the vehicle at 2pm on the same day.

The staff was incredibly friendly and professional (Farouk, Atif and Lee). They took the time to listen to my concerns, thoroughly inspect the issue, and explained the repair process in detail. They have also given me a very good price in looking into this issue upon getting a quote via telephone.

The turnaround time for the repair was impressively quick. They efficiently diagnosed the problem and provided a prompt solution, minimizing the inconvenience of being without my sunroof as I did not want to damage any interior from the rain. The mechanics demonstrated skill and precision in their work, ensuring that the repair was not only effective but also done with a high level of craftsmanship and went an extra mile by topping up my engine oil and adding grease to my sunroof so the issue doesnt happen again.

I have asked whether there were any extra charges on top and they said no as the price was provided from the start which was only a diagnostic check.

I can gurantee MotorAid did not rip me off as they went an extra mile and before researching, I was getting a quotes from other garages which were quoting crazy prices just for a diagnostic check. MotorAid has proceeded with the diagonostic check and also fix the issue, including topping my engine oil and greasing the sunroof at the price provided from the start with no extra cost.

Overal, I will be back here again if there are any issues.

Just got my X5 service done, service indicator was not rest car was still asking for service, engine collent level was low no advise given to me looks like just rushing the cars through

Friday 3rd may MOT and service
No coolent level checked
Air cleaner box was not put together properly leaving engine nose.
Service indicator was not set.

2nd day I have my VW caddy and complained about X5 issue but no action taken.

Excellent services and repairs at Motoraid in Hainault. Staff courteous and efficient - will always inform customer if repairs are needed. Parts are requested and fitted promptly. Never had a problem with this garage and I have an older car with plenty of problems!

Hi All,

I hope people will avoid this garage as all they seem to be interested in is charging you as much as possible. My story is that I went to MotorAid Ilford to do coding for a new radar (Distronic radar) as my old one was stolen.

I bought the radar online and connected it myself before going to the garage. I told them that the radar was already installed, they took my car in, and then they said to come another day because the coding couldn't be completed due to the radar being dirty (there was a warranty label on it). The man at the desk kept telling me to pay £120 and rebook another appointment for another £120. They couldn't complete the coding because of the label, but still wanted to charge me £120, told me to pay and leave, and then book another appointment for another £120 to remove the label.

In the end, I managed to remove the label and finish the coding. On my way back, I noticed that the radar did not work properly (probably because the calibration was not done correctly) as it didn't work as previously. I called them and requested they take another look at it since it wasn't working correctly. He told me there would be another charge of £100 just to look at what they hadn't done correctly and then £120 for another coding.
