After spending so much money on other garages attempting to fix my timing belt ( wet belt which a lot of garages avoid as it’s a more complex and labour intensive job) I was recommended to visit mark who was able to fit me in the next day! He fixed all issues I had, at a very reasonable price and very quickly! His communication via WhatsApp was great too as he was sending me photos and messages keeping me up to date with what he was doing! I can now drive my car without being embarrassed by the horrible noise my engine was making! Thanks a bunch, mark! 100% recommend!

Car had gone into limp mode and Mark was so responsive and knowledgeable when assisting. Managed to fit the car in quickly and fixed the problem. The engine didn’t need a new part so I was only charged for labour which other garages may not have communicated. Mark also went above to let me know about other pieces and topped up tyres and washer liquid. Really great, transparent and honest service - will be my new garage for repairs and servicing!

Honestly the best experience with any garage I’ve ever had and as someone who has owned a lot of rubbish cars, I’ve had a lot of experience!!
Called around 1pm as a warning light had appeared and got me in for light diagnostic check straight away despite being very busy. Full service with repairs and had the car back the same day! I was planning on hiring a car for the week as I didn’t expect to be back on the road so quickly but this place saved me a fortune!
I don’t intend to go anywhere else in future and massively recommend!

Mark is absolutely brilliant , very knowledgeable when it comes to cars which is hard to find, old school and professional! - he gave my car which is VW scirocco her service and made her brand new again he’s also provided amazing service to my other cars in the past too and always completed excellent jobs on those from repairs to maintenance. Mark was excellent with my recent repair. My wipers had broken and I needed them fixing urgently and all the other garages I tried locally were only able to get me in a week later.
The part for the wipers took a day to arrive but Mark clearly communicated with me the whole time as to when it would be done and the cost. He was able to squeeze an MOT and service for me too at my request as mine was due the following week.

Our Nissan Qashqai recently starting blowing smoke from the exhaust.
We took it over to M&R Mechanical immediately and initially it was diagnosed as the fault bring the Head Gasket.
After an intense investigation by Mark the fault was found to be the Turbo & Injector seal, both of which needed be purchased and fitted.
Mark also did a full service and now hopefully we can get another 10k on the clock as engine is as good as ever.
I will be using M&R in the future and will also be recommending.
