Wanted my son's PC upgraded as a Christmas present - Alex and the team were able to get this done quickly and in a professional manner, even due to a couple of hiccups with the case. His PC looks amazing and the job was done for a reasonable price. Will definitely be going back!

Had to take my PCWizard custom built CAD computer to another shop as it was SO slow and the CPU was running at 97C while in normal use.

When i contacted them about this, i was told its no issue if they reach 90C during use. They did offer to have a look at it but due to lack of confidence i went elsewhere, glad i did as it allowed me to see the truth.

We found there was minimal thermal paste applied between the internal fan and the CPU so it couldnt get the heat away properly and was overheating (Hence the slow speeds.)

Fitted a larger £50 cooler unit while in there to spec it properly as should have been from new, hey presto its now running at 41C and fast as lightening. I wish i could have had this from new when i asked for them to spec it all properly for me.

The guys at the shop seem lovely to talk to and easy to buy from, but clearly not careful about their builds when assembling. Ill go elsewhere in future.

EDIT to reply to owner response: Alex, kindly don't bend the truth for your benefit it only leaves you exposed, Grace Conway-Murray specified the needs of the PC with you for her CAD work all in writing, i am more than happy to send you copies to remind you if you wish, there was never any doubt about what the computer would be doing. Since then it has been used for lesser tasks and still got hot/slow but the spec originally was always for CAD (aka a demanding use, hence why the independent expert who corrected your installation mistakes felt it was under spec for the build).

The issue I'm getting at here to warn others is two fold, lack of spec for target use and improper installation of parts. These are factual/non-arguable points, hence why i felt the need to share with others. They can decide from there. I wouldn't worry too much, your reviews are good overall and will drown me out. If i achieve nothing more than ensuring you take more care in future on your builds, my time has been well spent with this review.
