I had my phone repaired at this location through my insurance after experiencing internal damage. The screen replacement took about 2 hours, which was reasonable. However, when collecting my phone I was convinced to purchase their gold standard £20 screen protector. A staff member demonstrated its supposed durability by hitting her own phone on a counter, claiming it was excellent quality. I’ve used glass protectors for 5 years and never smashed my phone, I’ve never used my phone without a protector and felt it was safe not to leave the store without one.

Unfortunately, less than two weeks later, the screen that has been replaced started lifting, and my phone screen ended up smashed—something that’s never happened to me before. I called the store to express my dissatisfaction, as now I need to pay another excess fee through my insurance to fix the damage. The staff member I spoke to was incredibly rude, argumentative, and dismissive of my concerns. She promised that her manager would call me back, but no one ever did.

The lack of professionalism and quality of service here has been deeply disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone.

Great, efficient service from Pocket Geek Tech Repair Solihull! Managed to drop my phone yesterday and the screen turned into a horrible green/purple/black mess. Phoned the shop straight away and they were very helpful and polite. Booked me in to get the screen replaced today and the job was done within an hour. Looks and works like new. My iPhone 11 pro suddenly died completely. I took it to the Apple shop and made an appointment with the technical/repair section. They worked on it and eventually declared it irreparable and so I went to examine possible purchase of a new iPhone. I remembered that the iPhone was insured and so before making the purchase I contacted my insurance company who said they would not pay for a replacement until repair had been attempted by one of their approved repairers. They told me to take the phone to Pocket Geek Tech Repair Solihull. I took it there and left it with them and a couple of hours later they phoned me to say they had fully repaired it. They said it was a software issue. I was extremely impressed and have no hesitation in recommending them.

If 0 stars was possible it would be 0. First and foremost, contact was not even initiated with me following acceptance of the claim, I had to call the branch myself on 6/1/24.
My conversation on the phone with sajid was that he thought the issue was the camera module which needed replacement and he would order this and also a back white cover. Bear in mind I purchased this phone in August just gone, it was in immaculate condition. We agreed that they weren't available on that day but he would order the parts so that they'd be in for the following friday,12/1/24. I attended on 12/1 to be told the part still hasn't arrived but they can do a diagnostic on the phone and it would be ready within the next two hours. The technician came from the back and said it doesn't even need diagnosing, as he just knew it's the camera. I still insisted that they diagnose it, which I know they didn't. As I went twice to the store before they told me they've ordered the faulty part and the phone had been on the same spot on the table in bubblewrap the whole time. They explained that the part would arrive on Monday, they would fix it and call me. I called during the weekend to confirm and was told the same. I then called on Monday afternoon to check and was told by a gentleman to stop calling as the deliveries come on Tuesday, and it would be repaired and I'd be called, which I found quite rude as they couldnt follow through with promises and didnt want to keep sounding silly.

Today, I was called to collect the phone and when it's been collected and I've come to look at it, it is in disgusting condition. They have replaced the back but I can't see at least 8 new black marks under and around the back case that weren't there before. My phone is in a worse condition than i gave it. The level of quality to which the repair has been done is very low. I can even see where the device was pryed. I have taken photographs of this. The camera itself works however the bottom camera has residue inside it! I did not expect such terrible quality from assurant group. There is black marks which makes it look almost as if the back wasn't even replaced. I am very disappointed by this. I am sure by policy there is going to be photographs taken of my device before and after and you are welcome to compare these to see that there were no such marks around the back casing or pry tool holes around the camera prior to the repair. A phone that only had a small Crack on the back casing, now has disgusting black marks all around it.

Fabulous! Have had several repairs here. Also great and I have full trust. Today I popped in as my daughter’s phone appeared to have an intermittent fault possibly relating to a previous repair five months prior. Fixed under their own twelve month warranty in half an hour. Brilliant!
