I don't really want to give this man 1 star but have to put something down......DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE....Asked for money upfront, changed me for a Varta battery £284 but Stevie put a Starline battery on at a cost of under £100, oil sensor switch £160 didn't need it. I gave him £2400.00 for a replacement engine which he said that he had, but didn't told me that had fitted it and took spare parts of the old engine and he had a hold of them, asked him for them and haven't received them coz he hasn't got them.....this man has fobbed me off for months now. I had always took my car here as my husband has known him from the age of 11 they used to kick around together etc and he does this to friends. I have had to take this car to another garage for to get fixed and they have confirmed that nothing has been done to this car.....Stevie used to be a good mechanic but not now. If you have taking your car here I would get it checked coz its amazing how many people have come forward mentioning exactly the same that having to take it elsewhere to get fixed as he has charged but not done the work.....

Just found Steve recently through a friend and I can't complain one bit. Always tries to get me in as soon as he can and it's usually straight away. Seems like an honest man and knows his stuff.
*EDIT*
Done work on both my cars. Did not provide any paperwork for either. Ignores my calls and messages. A few jobs that were done were not done properly and require further work. (Which he said he would do, but has not)

Very bad experience , asked to pay in advance, work not completed MoT not provided although that's what it was booked in for, car came back filthy covered in oil, had to throw mats away. Lost my service book, cracked my key casing. I drove away in an illegal car not fit to drive! Avoid at all costs!

Used this garage a few times now. Had cars mot'd, serviced and repaired here always a great service at a fantastic price. Would 100 percent recommend to anyone.
