I attended The Bike Inn’s E-bike course in Appleby in November 2024 after a few hours of home learning during the preceding couple of weeks.
I found the course to be well run and, highly informative and it opened my eyes to just how dysfunctional the current market place is for buying, obtaining spare parts and maintaining certain e-bikes. I learned a considerable amount about the different drive systems, how to investigate faults in each and as a result of the course, as well as a greater knowledge, I have expert contacts to help me with ongoing support with repair issues in this developing market

Simply fantastic. I am so glad that I opted to undertake the Level 3 Professional Cycle Maintenance course at The Bike Inn recently. Jon, Mark, Henrietta and Fiona's professionalism, knowledge and passion for the subject was honestly infectious. The staff went above and beyond to teach us elements of the professional trade that were not necessarily covered in the Level 3 qualification. Years and years of valuable experience was shared, including Bike fitting tips; possible business models for those seeking to make a start in the trade; online content available for two years post-course and much, much more. Words on a Google review do little justice to the skills that the team have now given me and their awesome educational delivery. I arrived at this superb location knowing very little about the more technical, complex aspects of bicycle mechanics. After two weeks, I left with a new found passion for cycle mechanical engineering, heaps of technical knowledge and the reassurance that the Bike Inn will continue to support me in my future endeavors. They went to great lengths to stress that the support does not end once the 2 week course finishes: their door is always open to Bike Inn alumni. Utterly amazing. This course has not only furnished me with a professional qualification that is industry-recognised, but has armed me with the tools that I need to set up a successful cycle business in the future. The Bike Inn, I can't thank you enough. Keep doing what you're doing. I'll be back for your professional E-Bike course!

I have completed two training courses at the Bike Inn and would thoroughly recommend them! As the Bike Inn also carry out bike repairs, run a bike shop and are actively involved in the wider cycling community the trainers offer broad experience and trainees get very practical exercises.

I’ve just completed The Bike Inn’s Level 3 Cycle Maintenance Course. The course was excellent! Great balance of content, well-focused training objectives, superb delivery by the instructional staff (whose ingrained professionalism, deep practical knowledge and perfectly pitched class interaction were instrumental in making the course the huge success that it was).

The Bike Inn is both a training establishment and an active customer-facing workshop, and so avoids the sterile ‘training environment experience’ that one can get when a ‘stand-alone school’ delivers practical workshop skills.

In short, great course, great people, whole-heartedly recommended.

May aswell go to Penrith to get bike fixed, especially high end bikes, putting terrible parts on and cheapest parts that money can buy, took my bike to Specialized HQ to get the bike looked at and they have put Derailer and back sprocket on completely wrong and the wrong size chain on. Really don’t recommend going to get your bike fixed

Fantastic place to have your bike maintained, fixed or even train to become a bike mechanic.

Everyone has fantastic knowledge and experience, with a very honest and trustworthy approach.

Mountain, road, gravel, E-bikes, tricycles, tandems. All bikes and aspects of dealt with, without fuss.

I just completed a level 3 bike mechanic course at the Bike Inn and they took me, a complete novice, from knowing very little about bikes to a level where I feel i could attempt most repairs on most bikes. What John, Mark and Henrietta don't know about bikes isn't worth knowing and as an alumni of their school I know that they will be there to support me with any issues in the future. If you are thinking of becoming a professional bike mechanic or just want to brush up on your skills and knowledge you won't do better than the Bike Inn.

I attended the L3 Professional Bike Mechanic course in June 2024 and was highly impressed with the whole set up, from the staff to the workshop facilities to the little bits that made this one of the best courses I have ever been on. The level of knowledge was incredible and access to this was invaluable as you worked through the various practical, technical and written aspects of the course.
