TERRIBLE service by a manager called Krish. I entered the store and asked him politely to show me where a product is. With no reply he walk to the isle and pointed and walked off. I thought oh he may he having a bad day whatever. I went to look for the product and couldn’t find it. I went back to him (no other staff available) and again politely asked where the product specifically is. He said nothing walked to the section and said what’s the code. I stated the code and he said see you just match the code sarcastically. Again I didn’t say anything because I understand sometimes people are having a bad day. I told him I need help taking it to my car because I have a slipped disk, his immediate response was “why haven’t you bought someone with”. At this point I couldn’t take his disrespect further and explained that you are implying that I have someone at home to bring with me. This went on for 30 seconds to a minute and he decided to take the product to the till. When we got to the till his first words were “well how are you taking it out the other end when you said there is no one at home”. I replied “i said i have no one to bring with me and didn’t say no one is at home” at this point I had enough and said I want to speak to a manager because your attitude stinks and he just walked off (knowing he is the manager). I then spoke to another manager on his level and explained everything to which he said he will have an informal chat and gave me 10% off. I would rather pay 10% more and get good customer service.

I completely understand people have bad days at work but to some extent this needs to be put aside and I cannot tolerate being disrespectful multiple times.

Stay away from Krish at Wickes Hall Green because he may give you the same attitude evidently he thinks he owns the place and is forgetting he is just a replaceable manager and not David Wood.

Avoid Wickes at All Costs – Unreliable Deliveries

I deeply regret ever ordering a kitchen from Wickes. The entire experience has been a nightmare from start to finish.

My kitchen was delivered on 12/02/2025, and from day one, there were issues—one item was missing, and another was damaged. The missing item won’t be delivered until next week because I have been told it's out of stock, which is bad enough, but the real issue is the damaged item. Without it, my builder cannot install the kitchen, leaving my entire project on hold.

I spent a whole week making numerous phone calls to get a replacement. I was promised the replacement would arrive yesterday, but it didn’t. When I asked for a tracking number, I finally got one—only to find out it didn’t even work. When the replacement finally arrived today, it was damaged again!! The units are not packaged properly leading to damage in transportation.

Out of sheer frustration, I went into the store. While the deputy manager and a particular customer service manager were helpful, their hands were tied because of their delivery process. They cannot provide a 'next day' delivery and could not even give me an estimated delivery date. All I was told was to wait for a tracking number today—which, surprise surprise, hasn’t come yet.

Wickes has the audacity to tell me that I should have checked all the items upon delivery and that they have 30 days to fix any issues before. How is that even reasonable? As an elderly person, how am I supposed to go through numerous boxes and inspect every item? And where exactly am I meant to store an entire kitchen for 30 days?

To make matters worse, I was never informed of these ridiculous policies when I placed my order. Their team knew that there was a builder in my property, ready to install the kitchen upon arrival. Their team communicated directly with my builder. Still, here I am, with a half-built kitchen and no answers.

With hindsight, I would never order anything from Wickes again. If you value your time, money, and sanity, do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

*If Wickes resolves this issue quickly and properly, I will update my review to reflect that. However, based on my experience so far, I cannot recommend them.*

The security guard at Hall Green store is amazing, he offered to get us a trolley in the pouring rain when I had too many things to carry. When i go in he is always smiling and so happy to help if I need assistance. Please recognise him for his efforts !

Terrible experience, as per what others have stated, the older English man implies that your a stupid foreign peasant or blind for asking a basic question- no question should be deemed basic or invalid when if comes to spending thousands. At his age I'd expect better manners let alone the ability to sell a kitchen. Just to add - when you label a kitchen ' midnight ' which isn't an actual colour its not unreasonable to get an opinion on whether it leans into the blues / or blacks.

Zero stars if I could. We are looking for a fully fitted kitchen of good quality so we visited the hall green branch on 11th Feb and we were impressed with the design and range of kitchens. Spoke to a member of staff to enquire about timelines of supply and fitting of their kitchens. We were impressed by what we were told especially when we were made aware of their home design visits which could be booked in store or online. We decided that we would book a home design visit online so an appointment was booked for Sat 22nd Feb and I took the day off work for that reason. The appointment time came and went but there wasn't a call to say the member of staff was or wasn't coming. I then rang the store to enquire but i was told the staff member was in a "meeting" and the lady took my number for a call back from the designer. No call back received unsurprisingly as the "meeting" must still be going on. Completely let down by the Complete disregard for a customer. Wasted a day off work. These big boys don't care if they lose a customer, they will make big bucks elsewhere. Absolute jokers, advertising everywhere about their brand but can't even keep an appointment. Time to look elsewhere, and so should you if you're reading this!!!! Cowboys.

In response to RxG G's 2 Star Review - I am the 'older English man' who spoke to you and please accept my apologies.
The question you asked me whilst pointing at 2 blue doors on display was (and I quote) ' Do these doors have a tinge of blue? You then repeated this 4 more times with a higher level of aggression as I was unable to respond - but as they were blue doors I was struggling ' I'm sorry for this but I asked if you may be able to help me understand by rephrasing the question and you shouted at me and said ' are you going to design me a kitchen or not' - I responded 'or not' as I had to walk away.
If you had rephrased the question as ' Are these doors more blue than black' without getting angry then I would have gladly helped.
I think it was very unfair of you to say that I implied that your were a 'stupid foreign peasant' for asking you to help me understand why you were asking if our blue doors were blue and feel very offended by this.
I can also confirm that I'm Welsh and not English so please don't assume.
Your experience with me is not usual - I think just miscommunication - Wickes has over 750 Sales Designers and I am proud to be acknowledged as the most 5 Star reviewed designer for this organisation in 2024 with hundreds of happy customers who I've been privileged to design amazing kitchens for.

Astonishing poor customer service by staff! The elderly chap with grey hair needs to be reminded his job is to assist customers not fob them off with false information.

Rather pathetic stock availability on tools. The service here though is almost non existent. So casual and laid back and what more bizarre the staff have not a clue. Ask a simple question - where would I find draught exclusion tape - huh What’s that? Ok never mind. Surely you must have general knowledge about DIY or some trade so you can assist customers or am I expecting too much? Other items looked like the stock is well kept. But tools stock is just non existent.
Oh and the car park. It will ruin your shocks, wheels and your spine.
