The store is big but easy enough to find what you need easily, my go to is normally B&q as a place to get anything and everything DIY but I will be now considering Wickes more often. The store was really quiet and so easy to find what is needed. Easy to find spaces outside too.

What a strange experience. I went to get 20 breeze blocks and whilst pulling then off the pallet I asked one of the guys if they had a Stanley to cut my the plastic, he never even acknowledged me. I went to the checkout with the blocks and stood there for 5 mins, then one of the staff on the checkout asked if I wanted to buy something, I thought it was obvious but I replied yes. I was served by the young lad who had this strange smirk and kept looking at the breeze blocks.. no idea if I bought too many or what was wrong. I couldn’t work it out. Just a bizarre experience overall.

What is it with staff in Wickes stores, especially the younger generation. They don't smile, converse, and always on their phones. I waited patiently the other day at the checkout whilst two youths finished their conversation. In the end, an older guy served me.

Visited store on a Monday, with a scaled drawing of our kitchen and the model of the one we were wanting. A list of all cabinets, colour, finish, work tops, sink etc. Absolutely everything listed apart from the tap. A lady in there eventually approached and said the kitchen designers were off until Wednesday. And that they would ring me then to discuss. Waited until Saturday, no communication. Against my better judgement, i contacted their head office and explained. as much to keep them aware of the failings of one of their stores, Got a veiled apology and a promise of a follow up from the store. 2 days later got a call from the same lady asking what we wanted!? HO had simply passed our number on for a return phone call. Said will have designers to contact, still haven't heard.
Got to be the most shambolic Retail Operation out there!

Ridiculous delivery texts. One from Wickes saying 7 to 7 and another from city sprint saying 14.00 to 18.00.
In store staff could not clarify or give help to resolve this despite being labelled as delivery contact number.

Wouldn’t let me cut the end off a 2x1 lath indoors so I had to do it in the rain in the car park . We don’t have a cutting service! is what I was told after I asked if I could cut it down to fit in my van . Very poor
